In 2011, after almost one year of tries and fails, 3 sophomores at the University of Salamanca, with a deep love for music and no musical talent whatsoever, managed to legally constitute Colectivo Sonora. Our aim was to help in the recovery of the local music scene, desolated after the economic crisis of 2009 and the long recession that ensued. Luckily, more wonderful people would join us in this quixotic endeavor during the 5+ years that followed.
Under this music label, we directly produced 100+ events and provided services for touring agencies and music clubs. Our flagship events were regularly sponsored by well-known brands, preeminently Jägermeister (via Spirit & Brands S.L.), catching the attention of national specialized media outlets, such as Mondo Sonoro or Rock Deluxe.
Colectivo Sonora ceased all activity in 2017. This LinkedIn page has been kept as a celebration for all the awesome people that found a home in this music label (you know who you are), as well as to provide a sort of “official portfolio” for those who are still working in this business. May the feisty spirit with which you grinded away at Colectivo Sonora always be with you. See you in the next gig! ;)
