Collective Works was designed from the ground up to look and operate differently. Our space incorporates many of the latest trends in commercial office planning: The design is based on a creative studio layout with facing ‘coworkstations’ a design which encourages members to collaborate while they work.
Our flexible informal meeting areas like our lounge and huge kitchen encourage interaction and serendipitous meetings. Meanwhile the use of multi-height work surfaces and flexible furniture arrangements give members the option to work where they want and how they want encouraging creativity.
As a space our members will spend a significant amount of time in, it was important to us to make Collective Works as special as it could be. We have utilised multiple textures and premium finishes like solid oak surfaces, leather detailing and linen upholstery, finishes not often found in working environments, let alone flexible ones. More than being beautiful and social, it was incredibly important to us that Collective Works was a healthy and ergonomic space to spend time in.
So we have invested in certified ergonomic work chairs and made numerous other adjustments to ensure Collective Works is as good for our members as it possibly can be. Collective Works was conceived as a breakthrough space that would bring flexible and accessible working to the CBD.
You are in charge of your own destiny and you can move faster and act more flexibly than a larger business. But there is no arguing with the fact that having a talented community around you to call on for help and guidance is of enormous value to small businesses. Our goal at Collective Works is to empower small organisations by providing excellent facilities, in great locations at a competitive price and on flexible terms. On the surface we’re a coworking space but what we really care about is helping the little guys play to their strengths, network and grow.
