Hi there! My name is Henna Ahmed.
For 5+ years, I’ve been helping students around the country as a private college counselor. I offer both 1:1 private coaching and comprehensive essay edits.
I grew up in Los Angeles and received a B.A. in English Literature and a B.S. in Psychological & Brain Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In 2023, I received my M.S. in Higher Education from Northwestern University. During my Master’s program, I specialized in enrollment management, ethical admissions practices, and the legal and political side of higher education.
After graduation, I worked as an Assistant Director on Northwestern’s Top-10 admissions committee and directly reviewed applications. I have read 3,000+ admissions essays, attended the 2024 NACAC conference, and completed a 150-page Master’s thesis on financial savvy in higher ed. I am currently the Associate Director of College Counseling for a private school in Honolulu, HI. I'm excited to work with you!
