The Colorado Youth Mariachi Program is an after school music program specializing in traditional Mexican music for students ages 7 and up. CYMP is based in Aurora, however we serve over 50 students per session from all over the Denver Metro area and beyond. Our programing provides participants with access to fundamental music education, excellence in music performance, youth development, community service and cultural awareness. CYMP is the first of it's kind in Colorado and provides a unique outlet for young musicians and families who seek community connection rooted in Mexican culture while setting the overall standard for mariachi education in Colorado. While there continues to be a growing rate of Latino/Mexican population in the area and need for cultural representation in education; mariachi education is still basically non existant. CYMP proves to fill the gap by setting the standard and providing an example for schools to initiate their own programming. CYMP mission will continue until mariachi education becomes a standard in the curriculum where students need it the most.

Student performances are available for hire at a discount rate for non-profits and schools.
