OUR MISSION:
The Salvadoran Committee El Piche is dedicated to supporting the community and developing its capacities. The Committee's work focuses on key areas such as education, well-being, health, cultural events, infrastructure, crisis response, and local economic development.
OBJECTIVES:
To assist and give hope to the people of El Salvador, who in the last 20 years have suffered a civil war as well as many natural disasters.
OUR BEGINNINGS:
Starting as a small group of concerned citizens to a national volunteer movement, The Salvadoran Committee El Piche was founded in 1995.
Over the years, a group of approximately 60 people helped the community by sending money for street repairs. This group decided it was important to form as an organization, and thus a meeting was called to discuss the possibility of becoming a non-profit organization.
Currently, the board receives support from members of different nationalities, who claim to have sufficient reasons to work together for the improvement of different communities and to help those most in need regardless of religious belief, nationality, or political preference.
