Community Connections

Community Connections Te Hāpori Āwhina Tāngata is a community-based disability service, providing support services throughout the lower and middle North Island Te Ika-a-Māui. We strongly believe in a person-centred approach so people can live the life they choose within their own communities. We provide both supported independent living and full-time specialised 24/7 residential support. We also facilitate peer support networks. Employment Connections Ngā Tūranga Mahi Toiora operates as part of Community Connections – providing supported employment services in the wider Wellington and Taranaki regions, and school transition services in Wellington, Taranaki and the Hawkes Bay. We work with employers, job seekers, schools, students and whānau. We also provide training to businesses on inclusive hiring practices.
