Community Hospice Care offers compassionate, quality service to people in the final stages of life and support to their families in Seneca County and the surrounding communities.
Purpose
Community Hospice Care hopes to increase the significance of a terminal patient’s remaining days through the provision of an umbrella of physical care, emotional support, and encouragement to the patient’s ability to remain in the home setting for as long as possible.
Philosophy
Hospice affirms life. It exists to provide support and care for persons in the last stages of incurable diseases so that they might live as fully and comfortably as possible. It recognizes dying as an inevitable process whether or not resulting from disease. It neither hastens nor postpones death. Hospice exists in the hope and belief that through appropriate care and the promotion of a caring community sensitive to their needs, patients and families may be free to attain a degree of mental and spiritual preparation for death that is satisfactory to them.
