Community Visiting Nurse Association (CVNA), founded as Valley Visiting Nurse Association, was established in 1948 by a group of people who recognized the need to provide quality health services to local residents in the comfort of their homes. This community-based model was built upon providing compassionate care to those most in need, teaching the techniques to prevent sickness and disease, and offering support towards physical health and mental well-being. The tradition of community-centric healthcare is still emphasized today, and proudly observed across our three affiliates; Community Visiting Nurse Service, Community Home Care and Community Care Hospice.
