Competitive Edge is a San Diego-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on workforce development through training, mentorship, and direct career placement.
We partner with local employers, educators, and community organizations to prepare individuals for careers in utility construction and professional service support roles.
Through our cohort-based training program, participants gain hands-on experience, certifications, and the professional skills needed to succeed and grow in today’s workforce.
What makes this work is community. Our approach is grounded in collaboration—with industry leaders, training providers, public agencies, and advocates all showing up to facilitate, teach, mentor, and support. No single company can carry this alone, and that’s the point. The strength of Competitive Edge comes from the way our community comes together to move people forward—and over the finish line.
