Complex Injury Rehab is a team of community based Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Assistants. We provide occupational therapy assessment and treatment to individuals with disabilities (acquired or congenital) and in particular to those who have experienced complex or catastrophic injuries, or whose cases are more complex due to multiple traumas, psychological overlay, or pre-existing medical history. We work with individuals with Acquired Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Chronic Pain, Orthopaedic Injuries, Amputations, Burns and other complex trauma. In our Therapy for Kids program we work with children and families of children with learning disabilities, fine motor challenges and children who are on the autism spectrum.
Our overall mission is to promote health and maximize quality of life and independence for our clients. More specifically, we provide high quality rehabilitation services to our clients to minimize disability and promote participation in life activities at home, school, work, and/or in the community.
As Occupational Therapists we start by providing comprehensive assessment, from which we can make appropriate recommendations for treatment. We provide intervention in the community, often in an individual’s home, and our intervention methods are customized to each individual. We are proud to incorporate new technology, such as smartphones, tablets and computer / video games along with other more traditional methods of occupational therapy intervention as a means to engage our clients and promote success with rehabilitation.
We currently have Occupational Therapists living and working throughout the Greater Toronto Area, Barrie and surrounding area, Hamilton-Niagara, York Region, Durham Region and Peterborough Counties.
