We are the Complexo de Saúde Pequeno Cotolengo, the first non-profit organization in Latin America to achieve Joint Commission International accreditation in Long-Term Care. Founded by Saint Luigi Orione in Italy, we arrived in Curitiba in 1965 with a clear purpose: to provide social assistance, healthcare, and education to those who need it most. What began as a simple dream guided by faith, charity, and solidarity has grown into a world-class Healthcare Complex, recognized for excellence, innovation, and social impact. Over six decades, we have built a legacy of dedication and results that today inspire public policies and serve as a model of humanized care in Brazil. We provide 100% free care to people with multiple disabilities, individuals on the autism spectrum, and patients in care transition. We operate 272 long-term care beds, one of the largest special education schools in Paraná, and specialized outpatient services. We deliver over 500,000 appointments annually, supported by state-of-the-art medical equipment, innovative treatment methods, and a team of more than a thousand professionals and volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure quality of life for every patient. Our impact is recognized nationally and internationally. We are ranked among the 100 best non-profit organizations in Brazil and the best in the state of Paraná, certified by Great Place to Work (GPTW) for consecutive years at both state and national levels, and honored with multiple awards for transparency and social impact.
