The Composites Leadership Forum is working to influence the Government and other bodies (including Industry, research centres, academia, skills provider) to bring together support for composites and ensure growth and industrial success for the UK.
It is chaired and led by industry; the current Chair is Ken Smart of McLaren Automotive.
Driven from the 2009 Strategy for UK Composites, the CLF was set up in 2012 from an industry initiative to coordinate and connect the activities of the growing number of composite-using companies, supportive stakeholders and industry organisations.
Fully supported by BEIS and DIT, the CLF is chaired by industry with members drawn from industry sector groups (e.g. Aerospace, Automotive, Construction), Government and stakeholders (e.g. Innovate UK, EPSRC) and delivery partners (e.g. NCC, Composites UK and KTN).
