La missione essenziale dell’Associazione è di rappresentare e tutelare ad ogni livello gli interessi delle comunità forestali.
L’associazione attua tutte le opportune iniziative tendenti a valorizzare le competenze nel campo della gestione sostenibile delle risorse forestali nei suoi aspetti economici, sociali ed ambientali, allo sviluppo delle aree rurali e montane in generale, in ogni loro dimensione, per migliorare e potenziare ogni supporto per la conservazione della biodiversità forestale integrando le azioni nell’ambito dei principi e raccomandazioni scaturite a livello nazionale, comunitario ed internazionale.
L’associazione potrà articolarsi anche a livello locale.
L’associazione non svolge attività d’impresa né rappresenta interessi specifici di imprese o attività economiche, ma svolge la propria attività in quanto portatore dell’interesse collettivo delle comunità forestali, rurali e montane.
