It can be used by one operator for any load up to an incline of 45 to 50 degrees. It is therefore ideal for challenging terrains, where the lie of the land would be a problem for most other machines. Shifta can do the job of moving that mountain of aggregate quickly and efficiently. The Shifta is available in three lengths – 3.2, 4.4 and 5.4 metres and two widths 300mm and 450mm. It can be joint together with multiple units to make as long section as it is required. It stands at a height of 56 centimetres when lowered. Including handles, its maximum width is 62 centimetres. Key features include; the detachable hopper, a maximum payload of 150 kg, braked wheels, and machine stand for stability, a folding bogey and two mushroom shaped emergency-stop buttons (top and bottom). There are forklift holes to facilitate loading onto a vehicle and the units are easy to stack if required. The 4.4 metre machine weighs in at 116.5kg and with its light aluminium frame proves very maneuverable. The angle that can be reached depends on the loading. The fastest running speed is 28 metres per minute and the slowest is 20 metres per minute. A 5kva transformer can allow the use of four machines at once.
