We believe that preventable blindness calls for action. Our mission is to make highly specialized eye care available to those who need it. Wherever they live, whoever they are. Since 2016 we have executed projects in 3 Continents, +600 surgical operations, +4.000 Eye Care Consultations.
1 billion people worldwide suffer from preventable blindness. We want to change it. A lack of access to eye care can have devastating consequences on poverty, equality, good health and well-being.
We treat patients and educate local doctors. We send eye care missions to places where eye care is underdeveloped. We detect the needs, perform surgical treatments to patients and educate local doctors so that they can provide these treatments independently. As soon as the project is sustainable, we leave somewhere else, where we can make more impact.
We link donations from international healthcare institutions and private actors with the technical expertise from renowned eye doctors. This enables us to perform eyecare missions that truly make an impact in the lives of people in underprivileged communities. We act frugally, select carefully where we act and work always towards building sustainable processes wherever we go.
