CGC is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to protecting the coastal and marine environment of Mauritius.
We are based in Le Morne, and our zone of action is mainly the South and South-West of Mauritius.
Since our establishment in 2015, we have worked on numerous sustainability projects through private and public funding to conserve and restore Mauritius' coastal and marine ecosystems. Projects include:
- Use of sea algae for bio fertilisers
- Plantation of 10,000 + endemic trees along the west coast of Mauritius
- Plantation of Mangroves and Batatran for the prevention of beach erosion and carbon absorption
- Coral conservation and plantation
