CoroNerve Overview

CoroNerve is a collaborative initiative to describe the neurological features of COVID-19. The COVID-19 pandemic is an evolving emergency in which a significant proportion of the population are expected to be infected. The experience of past pandemics, notably influenza subtype H1N1 in 1918 and 2009, suggests that neurological complications may occur. Though the proportion may be small, given the large number of infections the collective burden may be large. There is an urgent need for prospective, nationwide, high-quality data collection to inform management and research. In the UK we have partnered with a growing list of professional societies to coordinate a national surveillance programme.
