O Projeto “Cozinha Solidária da Shalom” teve início em Março de 2020, pico da pandemia no Brasil, quando Sinagoga Shalom parou temporariamente suas atividades e sua cozinha semi-industrial ficou sem uso. Foi preciso reinventar-se! Ao mesmo tempo, era impossível não agir frente à Fome, que hoje acomete mais de 50% da população Brasileira, sendo que 20% estão em estado de fome considerado grave. A cozinha da sinagoga foi então transformada para produzir marmitas à população de extrema vulnerabilidade no centro de São Paulo. Agora com 1 ano de projeto, já foram distribuídas mais de 60.000 marmitas, e isso é só o começo! Vamos juntos? A FOME NÃO ESPERA.

The “Shalom Solidarity Kitchen” Project began in March 2020, the peak of the pandemic in Brazil, when the Shalom Synagogue temporarily stopped its activities and its semi-industrial kitchen was left unused. It was necessary to reinvent itself! At the same time, it was impossible not to act in the face of Hunger, which today affects more than 50% of the Brazilian population, with 20% of them in a state of hunger considered serious.
