Established in 2008, Craft and Community Development Foundation (CCDF) is a registered not for profit organisation, set up as a social entity to support and fund projects that would enhance livelihood for communities focused on the art and crafts sector. CCDF’s vision is to undertake projects for upskilling artisans by introducing new concepts and designs. Keeping intact the authenticity of the art and craft and connecting them to new markets is key to the mandate of the foundation.
At CCDF, we strive to create an empowering space which has been supporting specialised crafts through imparting training, bringing new design element and creating market linkages for crafts persons. We work to support artisans and communities by providing similar training and workshops to enhance their design skills with the aim of enhancing the quality of life.
