Part of CRANSEDS society at Cranfield University, the Solar UAV project aims to develop a demonstrator for a H.A.L.E (High Altitude Long Endurance) UAV powered with solar energy with integrated computer vision technology. Entirely undertaken by MSc students and Researchers, the reconnaissance technology implemented has important applications in terms of environmental monitoring and search and rescue.
