Credit Systems International, Inc. (CSII), an accounts receivable management firm, undergoes annual independent CPA firm assessments for System and Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II + HITRUST reporting. The SOC 2 + HITRUST report takes the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) Trust Services Categories for Security, Availability, Privacy, and Confidentiality and aligns them to the Health Information Trust (HITRUST) Alliance Common Security Framework (CSF). The HITRUST CSF is built on the security and privacy requirements of NIST, ISO, HIPAA, PCI, and other standards.
In 2017, prior to aligning to the above combined level of certification, CSII was awarded our first HITRUST CSF Certification and SOC 2, Type II Report individually. In 2021, our agency was able to obtain all auditing aspects in one combined report that verifies the suitability of the design and operating effectiveness of CSII’s controls. The SOC 2, Type II + HITRUST CSF is the highest level of data security certification obtainable. Mastering this pristine status indicates that CSII has successfully completed the SOC 2, Type II examination as well as has met industry defined requirements validating that we are appropriately managing risk. By including federal and state regulations, standards, frameworks, and incorporating a risk-based approach, the HITRUST assists organizations in addressing any challenges through a comprehensive and flexible framework of prescriptive and scalable security controls.
