The Portuguese Association for the Rights of Minors and the Family, created in 1986 by a group of magistrates who felt the need to take the protection of minors further.
In 1989, the 1st House was created, which had the awareness of the Municipality of Oeiras, with capacity to start with 10 children, changing its premises in 1997 to a house built from scratch by the same Municipal Council, now housing a total of 14 children aged from 0 to 12 years old, called “Casa do Parque”. The 2nd house in Cascais, “Casa da Encosta”, is born, for a total of 12 children, also in the same age group as the previous one, provided and built from scratch by the Cascais City Council.
