With CrossCheck, we present a new algorithmic approach to illuminating reality by verifying news en masse. In this era of alternative facts, distilling reality from the overwhelming influx of conflicting information has become increasingly more difficult. The burden of manually verifying this information has become overly demanding, for individuals and organizations alike. As evidenced by the recent presidential election cycle, there is a very real danger in the capacity of fake news to mislead the general public. Current fact-checking mechanisms employed by large companies are slow, inefficient, expensive. We are currently developing a Google Chrome Extension (coming soon) for verifying news articles in real time.
