Culpeper Wellness Foundation was established an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2014 when the University of Virginia became the sole owner of Culpeper Regional Hospital. The Foundation works to achieve its mission by:
- providing health and fitness programming and services
- ensuring the availability of high quality medical care for low-income, uninsured adults, and
- providing mission related grants within the counties of Culpeper, Madison and Orange.
Culpeper Wellness Foundation operates Powell Wellness Center, the Free Clinic of Culpeper and PATH Recreation & Fitness Center.
The Foundation holds a unique role in the community as a provider of services, a partner and collaborator with donors, public and private agencies, and as a grantmaker.
