Curlew Communities is the Curlew team’s return to the rented residential sector. The new vehicle will offer institutional investors stable long term income-led returns from this structurally undersupplied sub-asset class. This strategy is to create new ‘mid-market’ build-to-rent assets (single family houses, and multi-family apartment blocks) and manage them to produce steadily growing income returns.
The Curlew Communities team has been working with developers, and agreeing forward-funding arrangements to deliver purpose-built, professionally managed, mid-market private rented residential assets. A seed portfolio is ready for investment and will be brought to the funding market in 2019.
Curlew Communities’ leadership team has previously created and managed residential investment vehicles (e.g. Teesland plc’s Oystercatcher fund, and aggregates professional experience from household names in the sector (Savills, JLL, Grainger, Vista, L&Q amongst others). Combined with its preferred property manager, Ringley Group (winner Resi Awards “Property Manager of the Year” 2015 & 2018), and its recent highly successful experience creating and managing PBS, Curlew Communities presents investors with a notable experienced team to execute its strategy.
