The Conference on Wind energy and Wildlife impacts (CWW) is a European event that tackles how to solve the environmental impacts of wind farms. The event also encourages researchers, developers, consultants, regulators and stakeholders that have experience of finding solutions to these environmental concerns to work together and share knowledge. This promotes a collaborative approach to resolving the key issues faced at wind farms.
The conference takes places every two years and attracts a global audience. So far there have been four CWW events. The first took place in Norway in 2011, followed by Sweden in 2013, Germany in 2015, and Portugal in 2017. The fifth conference is taking place in Scotland in 2019.
