About D'ORO Collection
Passion, Tradition, Italian Craftsmanship and profound respect of history, culture and heritage; the book is not a mere object, it is an opportunity to remember the past, live the present and look to the future spreading a message of culture. Printing, binding and producing books of high quality: this is the mission of the Publishing House. It is inspired by a tradition started in 1965 with a single aim: creating handmade books according to the most ancient tradition of Italian artisans. In the digitally-dominated contemporary world, where most likely the sheet of paper will slowly perish, D’ORO creates unique masterpieces of beauty and technical accuracy, manufactured on commission, and standing the test of time. What will remain from the virtual era will be the excellence of enduring masterpieces. Hence the idea of D’ORO: taking inspiration from the medieval artisans and creating handmade gold books on commission. According to ancient traditions, painters, sculptors, engravers and bookbinders work as a family in a studio of culture in the heart of Rome. In so doing the book becomes a treasure, realized according to customers’ requirements and needs. Every page is a jewel for the soul and mind. The volumes are made for those who perceive and consider culture as an inestimable value that will withstand time. In fact, it is not by chance, that D’ORO has been the Publishing House of three Popes and several Presidents of the United States. From the United Kingdom to Russia, from America to the East, the pages bound by D’ORO represent the cornerstones of a unique and exclusive form of culture. The lion is the emblem of D’ORO’s Publishing House, which symbolically protects human cultural heritage. It is a lion aware of the past and its traditions whilst looking fearlessly towards the future. Craftsmanship, passion, tradition. A cultural luxury. This is D’ORO.
