Dafa was initiated in 2009 dedicated to the promotion, preservation of Puppetry. In 2015 two graduates of the prestigious Academy of Performing Arts (DAMU) cofounded, a multi-awarded Prague-based theatre company, Dafa Puppet Theatre. At Dafa, warmth isn't just a word—it's the very essence of our identity. Rooted in the Arabic word "Dafa," meaning warmth, our theatre is founded on the principles of inclusivity, hospitality, and the transformative power of human connection. We believe that art has the remarkable ability to bring warmth to people's hearts, fostering a sense of belonging and shared humanity. Dafa acts as a vibrant object and physical theatre lab., a touring theatre, cultural preserver and knowledge platform. Dafa recognizes the gap in exploring the capacities of object theatre in expression, innovation, communication and its potential to challenge stereotypes, transcend boundaries and foster meaningful dialogue. Dafa yearns to spread puppet art, promote object and physical theatre in education, and awareness and connects people through theatre. Dafa, a skilled puppetry and physical theatre specialist, is renowned for impactful marginalized communities engagement and promoting social cohesion in Jordan and beyond. Through captivating performances and workshops, Dafa preserves traditional storytelling while addressing modern social challenges. With thousands reached, including diverse age groups, its influence spans the globe, earning wide acclaim for fostering cross-cultural understanding.
