Dairy Trust Taranaki is the largest dedicated dairy farming research and demonstration business by area in the Southern Hemisphere. We operate across 4 sites and nearly 500 hectares of land in central and south Taranaki. With 1200 plus cows we currently have projects focussing on nitrate leaching and N use, future farming, environmental impact, regenerative farming and zero emissions. Additionally, we are focussing on employee engagement, wellbeing and satisfaction.
Having the scale we do allows us to research and demonstrate unproven farm systems and compare the impact of new or proposed regulations to conventional systems at commercial scale.
