Dandelion House was started by Daniel and Natalie Hill. They shared a vision of a more person-centred approach to disability support, with a stronger focus on fostering relationships between those needing care and their families.
After their own experience of caring for a family member with a disability for over 12 years, and being dissatisfied with the many challenges and difficulties that confronted them, Daniel and Natalie decided to create a safe and supportive environment where people in care still have a voice and are able to make their own choices about how they live.
Our mission at Dandelion House is to enable our clients to work towards greater independence and live their best life. It is our goal to be a model provider of person-centred support and give our clients the ability to participate in social activities at whatever level they are comfortable with.
We are proud to provide our services in over 30 homes across Newcastle, the central coast and Dubbo, as well as organise engaging community activities for people with disabilities that enable them to have a life full of meaningful relationships.
