Dan & Tutors was founded by Daniel Alestrand in 2024, shortly after he relocated to Portugal. Moving to a new country without speaking the language presented its challenges, particularly when it came to finding work. To support himself, Daniel launched a tutoring company, which quickly grew in popularity, especially among students from Surrey, United Kingdom.
Specialising primarily in GCSE English, Dan & Tutors has earned a reputation for helping students excel in their studies. However, the company also offers flexible, ad-hoc tuition for primary and secondary school students who may need support in other subjects but prefer not to commit to long-term sessions. This approach allows students to receive personalised help when they need it most, while still focusing on their individual learning goals.
