das SPEZIAL is a South coast based creative collective aimed at connecting music, art and British counterculture through projects that support and champion the British music scene, representing the heart of the SPZL ethos of the power of creative collaboration.
Spezial (SPZL) is an independent record label developed from the creative ideas of music producer Shahab Notghi, director and founder of the label. Inspired by the music and British bands of the 90s and heavily influenced by alternative fashion, art and counterculture movements, the SPZL team create new and exciting music, fusing the skills of some of the best musicians and producers in the industry with emerging new talent.
Through the development of SPZL music productions ‘das SPEZIAL’ was formed and continues to grow. The collective brings together diverse talents from musicians and producers to visual artists, fashion designers and storytellers to create immersive, multi-dimensional experiences and creative projects to engage audiences with the British arts and music scenes. The das SPEZIAL team are currently working with a number of higher education institutions and colleges on creative projects and live briefs to support students and graduates work, collaborating with creative industries and external partners to develop a number of exciting projects for 2024-2025.
