Davis Medical Reserve Corps (DMRC) is a student run organization composed of undergraduates and community members with various emergency medical provider certifications such as EMT, Lifeguard, and BLS. DMRC strives to provide standby emergency medical services as well as Basic Life Support BLS classes to the greater Davis area. Once registered as a Medical Reserve Corps, DMRC can be called upon by the United States Department of Health to provide medical aid in the event of a disaster. DMRC also plans to affiliate with Rock Medicine, a volunteer event medicine company to provide staffing at venues near Davis.
