Verre reizen, mooie culturen en bijzondere mensen. Het begon met een paar souvenirs voor eigen gebruik, maar langzaamaan borrelde het idee om deze unieke producten niet alleen voor mezelf te houden. Zo ontstond de webshop Mooi van Ver en later de fysieke winkel De Buurvrouw in Gorinchem.
Nog steeds reis ik zelf om mijn aanbod te selecteren. Ik werk graag met kleine ondernemers (veelal in Azië) en ken de makers achter mijn producten. Soms ontwerp ik zelf, vaak maak ik gebruik van hun creativiteit
en eigenheid.
In De Buurvrouw verkopen we, naast onze eigen collectie, ook vele andere bijzondere producten met een verhaal.
