Deaf Youth Australia (DYA) was officially established in December 2013. Our main aim is to inform and engage young Deaf and hard of hearing Australians through personal development, workshops, leadership opportunities, camps, networking events, and fundraising activities. We formalised our membership with Youth Ordinary Member (YOM) status in 2015, allowing us to liaise directly with the World Federation of the Deaf Youth Section.
We want a world where all young Deaf and Hard of Hearing Australians feel included and empowered. Our mission is to bring together Deaf and Hard of Hearing young people from diverse backgrounds, fostering active involvement in their local, national, and global communities.
