We are “ALL ABOUT THE BEATS!”
We have 13 samba drums, a punk/pirate attitude and some serious shapes to pull. We are the party starters, the fiends of the fantastic, all with a penchant for dressing to impress and a flair for theatrics. We play inside! We play outside! We’re best in the middle of a crowded dance-floor but can easily bust out our skills for the stage.
Deatbeats was formed by musicians Neil Armstrong and Ben MCGeary with an aim to deliver a noise machine that fused the excitement/power of a live percussion band with the interactive visual theatrics of street entertainment to the club/festival environment.
Since that early incarnation with 2008, Deatbeats has grown in both numbers and popularity, performing alongside high profile artists, events and in exciting UK locations. From street art and music festivals to the club & gig circuit, at corporate events and even at the odd wedding, we can adapt our performance from walkabouts to huge stages.
Our strength lies in our unique approach to merging contemporary and traditional rhythms together with an “onslaught of the senses”; we breathe versatility, enthusiasm and our ultimate desire to “bring the party” to any event we get our hands on.
