SURVEYING With three professionally licensed surveyors on staff, Deckard has over 60 years of combined surveying experience. Deckard has performed tens of thousands of boundary surveys all over the state of Indiana, with the primary locations being Montgomery County and the surrounding counties. We have established a reputation of doing boundary surveys the right way - never taking shortcuts. In addition to boundary surveys, Deckard has been performing a variety of survey work. To the right of this page is a list of the types of work we have become extremely proficient in. ENGINEERING Licensed Professional Surveyors are permitted to perform certain engineering design work in the State of Indiana, including subdivision design and stormwater management solutions. Deckard has done the design work for the majority of the subdivisions in the Crawfordsville area in the last 30 years. When the scope of a project exceeds the limitations of what is permissible for a surveyor, Deckard has many longstanding relationships with local licensed Professional Engineers that they cooperate with to get the job done. We have done engineering and surveying work for several large manufacturing facilities, including multiple Nucor Steel plants, Steel Dynamics, Cargill, Tate & Lyle, and the new (2021) Tempur-Sealy facility here in Crawfordsville. Deckard has lately been very active in the construction of statewide solar parks with Indiana Municipal Power Agency. Our firm has been responsible for the layout of thousands of acres of solar farms since 2018. Partnering with a railroad design firm, Deckard has performed the civil engineering and surveying work for dozens of miles of railroad facilities in Indiana, South Dakota, Mississippi, Missouri, Illinois, and Ohio.
