Decorus was founded by Amanda Crichton, mother of three, a keen runner and regular at her local gym who felt that much of the sportswear available to buy did not fit very well.
Amanda felt that many of the leggings and tops are designed for athletes or for women with a 20-something figure. Bodies perhaps which have not carried children or bodies which are no longer ‘that side’ of 30, 40 or 50. As our bodies get older they change, but our desire to feel good and look our best should not have to be compromised.
Whilst out running one day and battling with the falling waistband of her leggings, Amanda had the idea to create a range of clothing that is designed for real women. Women like us. The seed was sown and Decorus Fitwear, meaning ‘Beautifully fitting’ in latin, was born.
ATHLEISURE - THE PERFECT BLEND OF TRANSITIONAL SPORTSWEAR
Us girls are becoming increasingly busy, striving to cram, work, childcare and play into our everyday routines, and as a result our requirements for clothing has had to adapt too.
Early morning or post school run fitness classes, lunch time gym sessions or post work work-outs are our regular routine. What us women wear has to adapt to aid the quick transition between the demands put on us as a mother, as an employee and our (sometimes rare) ‘me time’ leisure activities.
Decorus will offer a new range of athleisure clothing which is equally fitting for wearing at the gym or for running, but also can be worn casually during leisure time or holidays or to go out to meet a friend for your favourite latte. (We love a sweet cinnamon honey latte!)
