DEKRA Akademie EPE was established by DEKRA Akademie Gmbh and DEKRA Akademie Kft, as a subsidiary of the DEKRA Group, which has been active since 1925 in the fields of training and certification of employees and products, quality assurance and environmental protection, with a network of companies in Europe, America, Asia and Africa.
DEKRA is an international service company based in Stuttgart. Under the umbrella of the DEKRA eV Group, which has a non-profit character, there are more than one hundred subsidiaries, which are part of the association, one of them being DEKRA Akademie Kft. DEKRA Akademie GmbH, is active in the field of quality and safety in technology, certification and training of human resources, and the environment. In addition, DEKRA Akademie has extensive experience in the export of successful training systems. It has offices in 100 cities in Germany and in more than 50 countries worldwide. In 2009 it founded the DEKRA Private University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. It employs around 1,000 teachers worldwide, 32,000 employees and has organised more than 7,000 seminars with 120,000 participants. It trains and certifies a wide range of professional specialisations from agricultural machinery operators to referees in professional football in Germany.
