The Dementia Design Consultancy works as an integral part of your healthcare team in collaboration with architects, contractors,multi-disciplinary care teams, project managers and service users to focus as well as innovate on the detail in the design.
Our UK-wide clients include NHS Trusts, Mental Health trusts, hospitals, prisons and care homes.
Who we are
Having worked with over 200 NHS organisations (mainly hospital wards), prison establishments, care homes and hospices as well as many high end private clients, retailers and hotels, the DDC team have an almost unparalleled range of experience, innovation and expertise in design to support our clients in their projects. Our commitment is to provide practical, value-for-money solutions that help environments for both users and carers that inspire and delight.
At the heart of our team are our senior designers Sue Hunter and Alison Houghton. Both have unrivalled knowledge and experience in delivering interior design projects in the healthcare, retail, commercial and residential sectors.
The dementia design team is supported by Hedley Finn MBE, the Principal Design Consultant and Gurinder Whall, the Projects and Event Co-ordinator. Both were core team members of The King’s Fund’s award-winning Enhancing the Healing Environment Programme.
