The Lantan Eco-Village Based Tourism Project aims to promote sustainable tourism in Lantan Village, North Batukliang Sub-district, Indonesia. The initiative focuses on creating jobs, boosting local revenue, and preserving local culture and traditions through eco-tourism activities. Furthermore, the activities and resources provided are deeply rooted in the village’s everyday life and tourist attractions, ensuring a genuine connection with the local culture and environment. With the opportunity to stay with local families, learn about customs and traditions, and savor the tranquil pace of village life, Lantan truly becomes a second home for visitors. Through this immersive approach, Lantan Eco-Village Based Tourism not only enriches the tourist experience but also contributes to the preservation of the community’s heritage and fosters sustainable practices. Since its inception, the project has engaged 31 local youth as members of Pokdarwis Solah, collaborated with two women farmer groups, involved local housewives, and utilized 12 local homes as homestays.
