Designs Anew Houston LLC is a unique Kitchen and Bath design service, to include entries, stairs, fireplaces, and wine rooms, for new home construction or remodel projects in the greater Houston area. We specialize in Universal Design and Aging in Place - design for those who are short or tall, younger or older, able-bodied or disabled and for those who wish to age comfortably in their own homes in independence and with dignity.
As parents, we have always taken care of our children; as we age, we can still take care of our children by taking care of ourselves. Planning ahead for our golden years in our own home, remodeling with adaptability in mind, so that when needs arise spaces can be easily and quickly modified, will be greatly appreciated by caring children.
And as children, we want the best for our parents who have done so much for us; as they age, we can educate them on how they can stay where they want to stay and live without fear where they want to live. Universal Design features such as no-step entries, wide doorways, easily reached appliances and switches can be easily added when remodeling; the expense involved will be an investment in inheritable property as opposed to a paying for a senior community unit that is not.
We incorporate essential aspects of Universal Design: safety, accessibility, flexibility and minimal physical effort. This makes the living environment a comfortable and usable space for everyone regardless of age or ability.
