DFK Performing Arts Academy began in 1999 in a converted barn on a farm in Armagh and has since grown into a thriving community group, providing inclusive performing arts programs for children and youth across Armagh and Dungannon. As a not-for-profit, we are committed to giving young people equal opportunities to explore drama, dance, singing, and tech, all at affordable prices, particularly in rural areas where such opportunities are harder to find. At DFK, we believe in the power of the arts to build confidence, emotional intelligence, and social skills in a supportive, safe environment. Our dedicated team works closely with parents to tailor the experience for each child, and many of our older students go on to mentor younger groups, becoming ambassadors for the DFK Family. With established relationships with casting directors, we’ve successfully placed children in major productions, including TV shows like 'Game of Thrones' and BBC series. Community is at the heart of everything we do, and through fundraising events like coffee mornings, raffles, and performances, we continue to provide opportunities for all abilities while supporting local charities.
