Diamond Fibreglass started at humble beginnings. A true family run business with hard work, graft and team at its core, founder Aly began his craft whilst learning on the job. In 1999, Aly was working as a sweep for a local boat building company when he was offered the opportunity to become a trainee laminator. Jumping at the chance, Aly studied and learnt how to work with fibreglass and its processes, including mould making, tool making, injection moulding, wet lay and spray lay.
Fast forward eight years and Aly moved to another local manufacturer, progressing to unit leader whilst running the fibreglass shop building race trailers. He took pride in creating the famous London eye pods, fairground rides for a large theme park, pick up tops and a high profile kit car. It was whilst working here that Diamond Fibreglass was created. Working on the side during evenings and weekends, Aly focused on building pop tops for camper vans and beach buggies, before moving on to crafting his first fibreglass flat roof. In 2011, the first flat roof was completed.
