In this fast changing scenario, our youth needs to be equipped with latest digital skills to prove their knowledge and abilities. Realising this fact, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications, aimed to provide training to one million people in digital skills, in collaboration with Ignite and Virtual University. The DigiSkills programme is specially designed to equip the participants with necessary knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to take maximum advantage of the available opportunities to freelancing, employment and entrepreneurship in the online job market. This initiative aims to enable Pakistan to be at the top of the countries providing freelance services. The training courses are available at a user friendly web portal and a comprehensive Online Learning Management System at all times. Students can register in their desired courses free of cost and learn online through video lectures. An online mechanism has also been prepared for the guidance of the students. In this mechanism, their intelligent assessment and progress monitoring will be done accordingly. Following are the courses being introduced:Digital Marketing, E-Commerce Management, Freelancing, Digital Literacy, Search Engine Optimization, AutoCAD, WordPress, QuickBooks, Graphic Design, and Creative Writing. Digiskills program provides free of cost online training to build a cadre of highly skilled freelancers and entrepreneurs so they can earn a living and contribute towards the national & global economy, and hence,make Pakistan a global leader in this area.
