Direct Lending believes that every single adult that works hard deserves to receive legitimate and affordable borrowing, despite this not being an accurate reflection of the financing landscape at present. A May 2017 World Bank Report on Financial Inclusion states that in Malaysia, only 25% of the adult population, and 15% in the B40 group, have borrowed from licensed banking institutions. This limitation of financing options creates more opportunities for scammers or illegal money lenders to take advantage. This is what motivated us to revolutionise the current borrowing landscape, by offering safe and affordable loans to hardworking adults anytime, anywhere, so they can pursue their dreams and fulfil their needs for a better quality of life. Direct Lending started as a digital lending marketplace platform, enabling bank underserved borrowers to find, apply and receive financing that best suits them in a safe and affordable manner. There are currently over 30 financing providers on the platform. With the vision to provide a seamless financing experience, Direct Lending launched its first point of sales financing solution in late March 2022, a Syariah compliant auto service financing which enables car owners to obtain financing at workshops to pay for their essential car repairs instantly. In December 2022, Direct Lending further expand the business by offering financing to micro SME businesses Direct Lending is recognised as Top Rising Star in inaugural Malaysia Fintech Frontier Award in 2023, The Star Outstanding Business Awards (Best Use of Technology) Silver Award 2023 and also Top in Tech Innovation Award (3rd Edition) Most Promising Growth Company (Merit Mention). Direct Lending is a recipient of Cradle CIP300 funding in 2019. Direct Lending started from a 2-man team in October 2016 to now a team of over 40 professionals. Since incorporation, we have achieved over 100% CAGR revenue growth and is operational profitable.
