Discount.ae is an online consumer electronics distributor in Dubai, UAE. Founded in 2008, Discount.ae was created by the young entrepreneur Ashton Hettiarachi in his small apartment. At an early stage, Ashton realized customers weren’t just looking for good quality products, they needed a service, a good one.
Back in the day, consumer behaviour was to travel to a retail store to buy something they desired, but it was very time-consuming and frustrating. Discount.ae started from a simple concept—“Try Before You Buy & Receive Your Order Within 4 Hours” allowing consumers to buy a product within a short period and try the product before making the payment (once the product is delivered to consumer’s doorsteps). This simple procedure not only helped to build trust, convenient and long-term customer relationship it helped to grow the business rapidly. We now have served over 3,000 customers and shipped over 20,000 products across the Middle East and our dedication to Discount.ae’s mission has never remained strong.
In 2015, we introduced 3D printing technology for Discontinued-electronic spare parts and customised electronic parts for the first time in the UAE.
