LiSE – Sustainable Lithium Extraction es un grupo interdisciplinario de investigación científica-tecnológica orientado al desarrollo de tecnologías avanzadas para la extracción directa de litio (DLE) desde salares chilenos. A través de soluciones innovadoras en química molecular, materiales funcionalizados y sistemas electroquímicos, buscamos reducir el impacto ambiental de la industria del litio y aumentar la autonomía tecnológica del país. El equipo está conformado por investigadores/as de diversas universidades chilenas y colabora activamente con centros internacionales, promoviendo la formación de capital humano y la transferencia de conocimiento hacia sectores productivos, públicos y sociales.
LiSE – Sustainable Lithium Extraction is an interdisciplinary research group focused on developing advanced technologies for direct lithium extraction (DLE) from Chilean salt flats. Through innovative solutions in molecular chemistry, functionalized materials, and electrochemical systems, we aim to reduce the environmental impact of lithium production while increasing the country’s technological autonomy. The team brings together researchers from multiple Chilean universities and maintains active collaborations with international research centers, promoting the training of human capital and the transfer of knowledge to productive, public, and social sectors.
