Domaine du Castel is a family owned winery in the Judean Hills, near Jerusalem.
Eli Ben-Zaken, Owner and Winemaker, very much influenced by French
tradition, planted the first vineyards in 1988 and began producing quality
wines.
The vineyards are planted at a high density and the yields are small.
The grapes are handpicked and great care is taken to make the most out
of the terroir. Castel wines are exported to over 20 countries and have
attracted the attention and recognition of the world’s most important wine critics.
