As a menopause expert and coach, I want to partner with employers to support women's health in making menopause a positive experience, moving forward as an individual (not pausing) and for companies, retaining staff and attracting new talent. I am more than just a coach, it is about implementation, building strategies, raising awareness, sharing experience and training.
What is the menopause?
It is a natural hormone transition when a women’s oestrogen levels decline and we stop having periods. It happens to us all and has a wide range of symptoms that can be treated or managed if understood. Menopausal symptoms are typically experienced for several years so it’s best described as a ‘transition’ rather than a one-off event.
Menopause in the workplace:
Managing the effects of the menopause at work is important for both employers and employees. For those experiencing symptoms it can be a difficult and stressful time. Everyone will experience the menopause differently and for some, symptoms can be quite severe and can affect people both physically and mentally.

It is important to for companies to be aware of the menopause and how its symptoms can affect employees. If properly understood, and with the right framework put in place, it’s all about staff support, retention and keeping your talent.
